Minneapolis, Minnesota

This past weekend was amazing! My mother drove my little sister, her friend, and me to Minneapolis, Minnesota so I could spend time with my boyfriend on his birthday weekend. He attends the college that I eventually will be attending after I graduate high school so I was able to get comfortable and meet people that I potentially could be friends with. While my mom, sister, and her friend stayed in a hotel down the road, I was able to stay with a friend on campus who I met about a year ago at my church. I absolutely love this college and can not wait to attend!!!
On Saturday morning, my boyfriend took me to the Mall Of America via the light rail. We spent about four or five hours walking around and going in stores that I have never been in before. I would have to say my new favorite store is Urban Outfitters. It was the last store we went in and I had spent almost all my money so I was unable to buy anything except a journal. Other stores that I really liked are Ragstock, Garage, and Journey's. I was also able to convince my mom into letting me get my cartilage pierced.
On Saturday evening, my boyfriend opened his gifts from some family members and me. I always buy him gifts when he is with me so he always knows what he is getting. I should really learn how to hide gifts from him. I put some random food items for him in there so I guess that was a surprise for him. He liked the electric razor and camera case that I picked out for him though. :)
For his birthday dinner, we went on a double date with my friend and her boyfriend who is also my boyfriend's roommate. BEST DOUBLE DATE EVER! We went to this place called Annie's Parlour which has extremely good sandwiches and malts for a reasonable price. I think our waiter was having a bad night though. I definitely recommend this place and when I return to the city, I will be eating here again. After dinner, we went to the Guthrie Theatre which is incredible! We didn't see a play, but we went to the different floors that over look the city. Definitely the most romantic place I've ever been to with anyone! I also hope to visit this theatre again when I return in March and all the times after.
I am really glad I was able to visit my boyfriend on his birthday and see this beautiful city once again. I can't wait to visit in March and I'm really excited to attend college there in a couple of years. I absolutely, hands down, love the city!
